XXX question

Can a RE XXX 15 take a Viper or Orion 2500 daily if gains are set correctly? im planning on putting it in a snail shell enclosure. is this overkill or should i just get a single viper or orion 1200d?

it should work right. doesnt mean that it will get 2500w from it. set ur gains right and dont blast ur stereo at full.

i'll be feeding my xxx to an orion 2500D in a sealed box. just set the gains properly. most subs die due to clipping so a clean 2000 watts + shouldn't hurt the sub at all.

also a viper 2500 is putting out power at 2 ohms the orion puts out a 1 ohm. just something to think about.

well lets just say this. i had a 2500d on 1 12 inch xxx with my gains set incorrect ,and i needed a new recone in 2 days, it is nonthin to play with ( the orion 2500 that is) i bottomed it out plus burned it. that was in my dumb days

From what I know the XXX is known to be used as a daily drving sub that can take a daily pounding, just set your gains right.

used an orion 1200d on my xxx 15 i i really felt it wasnt enough for the sub......the amp had to work overtime just to get the most out of the sub.....peronally if ur gonna port it then 1500w should be the minimum......if it's sealed them 1000w minimum.....

get the orion 2500d and set the gains right, and then if u ever wanna upgrade u still have a powerful amp.

that don't make sense. you shouldn't have to give a ported sub more power to reach the output of a sealed sub

a ported system will reach its full potential with less power than it being sealed with more power.

ok heres another question. Whats better orion 2500d or 2 Orion 1200's. now i know the 2 1200s will keep me in a small class in Isiac. but if i strap them then i need a dual 4 ohm XXX correct?
