RE SE Vs Type R

What are the pros/cons of each sub, ill be buying 2 D4 subs soon, and since their about the same price, its got me puzzled of which ones to pick.

I know Type R's are extreamly popular, but The SE just looks so sexy, almost looks like a really expensive sub or something lol.

And the type R's look really ugly imo.

As far a sound goes, mainly going for SPL.

Another option is saving my money and getting 2 RE SX's.

Amp ill be getting is either a sundown saz1500d or some Hifonics amp.

each sub will be put in 1.15^3 tuned to something using aero ports.

Type r's do get loud. Most people with them are going for spl. But i have heard good things about the se too. I was stuck on these 2 choices as well.

I've heard 2 type-r's. The first one I head was in a nice custom ported box and it sounded bad ***. The second was a 10" stuck in a prefab box and it sounded like total garbage.

Never heard an SE before so I can't really help you there.

If you are going for SPL, then the type R's are a cheap way to do it.

the box is in no way "cheap"

it was 180, and its would be almost impossible for me to make one for my car.

either one would be great. You can't go wrong with either. Everyones ear is different, you will never get a legit answer as to which one is better.

Im really leaning towards the SE's, but i wish i had money for SX's.

maybe their will be some in the classifieds cheap. I just don't like buying used electronics.

Type R's sound like crap IMO...never heard SE's but I hear they sound better than R's but aren't quite as loud. SE's def are sexier tho..

Get a better box or both(se, type r) on the prefab will sound like crap..
