You've had hands on experience with all of them right?Comp VR = louder, SE = better sq and overall sql, Old XXX = The win, 2 comp VR 15's might be louder but the SQL would kill the comp vrs. If you want subs now, and you want really loud, get another comp vr. If you want subs now, and you want loud with quality, go for the SE's. If you want to wait and save up and get a superior sub, get the XXX.
Exactly, this sub is one of the best bang for your bucks subs out there. I had a 12 in a 2 ft box tuned to 28 hz and it was amazing how loud it got with a JL 500/1. It sounded great but for under $200 delivered it was one of my better purchases. The comp vr is not far off by any means but I would take the SE IMO.out of the 3....SE
i'm assuming these are 15's....put the se in 4 cubes.....28ish hz tuning and you won't need to use half of that power to be more than happy
