cheaper spiders are used in the new one and they skimp on the glue...

dang.. i was onsidering on running 4 in a sealed clamshell like enclosure in my trunk foward firing on 2 1500d's...

is it that much of a difference that they just don't handle/play like the hand builts?

i don't think you'll hear anything different between the two... but the durability is definitely compromised...

Old is better...

IIRC, the main differance is the older has a 2 1/2" Coils and the new has 3" coils...

The newer ones arnt built here, the older ones were. I prefer US Made stuff anyday.

The parts came from china anyway, now it's just a difference race putting them together. You racist?

And I'm pretty sure the SE's never came with anything but a 3" coil.

It does seem like a lot of companies prefer to assemble their subs here in the USA...

coz the cost of labor there in US is to expensive unlike here in Asian countries!
