You're correct, I could not install my wall by myself... just like most of the people with walls couldn't do. I tried, I failed, and I wanted it done right.

Thats not gonna happen...The 10s and 12s have basket geometry issues. 10s more so than 12s....but then again there are exceptions. an 8 inch BTL probably wouldnt even move.

Yes, I did the recone completely by myself with no help (except for nG/tommyk on AIM, thanks guys) and it turned out great. Hardest part was cleaning the old shit off of the basket...wear a mask when dremel'ing the spider landing.

From what I hear from a few people is that Steve reconed his MTs often. I spoke to Scott about Steve... believe he said the BTLs have yet to need a recone.

The MTs would have heated alot using them daily witha bunch of power, no wonder they needed alot of recones. I woudl liek to knwo the difference though since the venting/cooling like already stated would decrease motor strength but add to longevity

We are talking SPL here Champ, not daily. And arnt you the cat that said you were told to let the BTL cool down 20 mins between 6KW burbs. We let our MTs cool for about 1 Min(or just long enough to get voltage back up) in between burbs sometimes, with 12KW, no thermal issues ever.

I think the difference between the FI(in SPL trim) and the MT woudl be power/install dependant.

as far as RE fading... i do not agree wiht the business factor.. but the gear is time proven, cannot ignore the reputation RE drivers have from the SE to the MT.
