thanks... I will definately look into every aspect of building these, before i send anything anywhere. And who knows, like the fella said above...it could be just fine. Im not using it to compete or anything, just trying to make a semi loud daily driver. Ill run this one for a while, and if it, or when it does blow, ill probably go ahead and try to get another one! everythings better in pairs..lol

there are a few for sale in the classifieds right now (i can think of one whole sub, and 2 motors).. decent prices as well, i think

Well if it goes and you send it to Dave, he could probably put a new basket on it to accomodate a larger spider, and could also give you new T/S params.

It would be cool if you could strap the new XXX/MX basket onto the destroyer motor, and somehow make it work. The thing would be like 16 inches tall but still.

Good sub my friend ran his hard off a crossfire 2000d at 35hz daily, it was nice, real loud, reminded me of a 9515 very similar, not like most re subs that seem to love the lows. it really pounded at like 40hz

all the re subs i have ever heard have "loved the lows" with a sharp roll off around 50 hz and up.. maybe just my experience, though...

Does anybody have the measures of the gap or even of the coil on those Destroyers? I wondered if the TC-5200 Coil fit on the Destroyer motor. Idk how long the coil is on the original destroyer motors.

wont fit.. quad coil is to wide....tc tried a recone on a destroyer.. didnt go so well:laugh:
