re dealer setup on ebay now?

I did my best to find out what dealer it was. But they didn't get back to me:laugh:
And yes, that dealer is going to get dropped. Not only is he selling on the internet, but EBAY!!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

I give him 2 weeks.

he would of been much more smarter if he just sold it on forums and left it at that.....no one would of probably even questioned it much. what a tard.

Might not be good for RE, but the RE comp set i've had my eye on for a long time. I dont care about warranty on those, id take care of them. Factory direct a long time ago was 160 Shipped. On the ebay dealer, the one is 172 shipped. Not bad. Now retail price is $250 shipped.

Chances are RE will eventually find out which dealer is doing this and drop them.

They would have to know who their own dealers are.

They gave me two different names and phone numbers for dealers.....neither of which was a dealer, and one who had never even heard of them.

if someone made a product and built 500 units a day and sold 300 to there authorized dealers. then sold the rest to an unauthorized dealer for less, cause they dont have to warrenty anything. then put some mssg on there website about not buying unauthorized. there still moving a product and getting paid.

would a company do this, and what would happen if they did?

I have been reccomending that they do for a long time. They should....and probably already do.

Anyone with all the necessary tax id's and retail sales licenses could acquire these from a wholesaler. They may not come from an authorized dealer.

JL Audio doesn't authorize online sales yet their merchandise can still be purchased wholesale. The warranty just won't be backed by the company.

I know, at least around here, JL is near impossible to get from a wholesaler...

We inquired with every wholesaler in the area, and not one could get JL...we even asked another shop if they could get us a W7 because a customer specifically wanted a W7 and nothing else, and he wouldn't even supply us with one (and we had gotten a lot of other stuff from him in the past).

I talked to Greg at US Amps/Re this morning and he says they know which dealer did this and it will all be over real soon. He also said they have filed some trademark infringements against the seller/sellers with ebay, although I dont know waht that is all about:eyebrow: . So these auctions might not be up for much longer.

That is not true. If you have everything you listed then you are considered by a company. Usually they have you fill out all that information first, then depending on the company you go through more steps. Many of the larger companies acutally send sales people to your storefront to see what you have to offer. They look at things such as the size of your showroom, and the overall quality and location of your store. But it is very company dependent. Some companies a simple email with your Tax ID number, and business license will do the trick. But JL and RE require much more than that.

Yeah some companies do make it difficult to get their products wholesale. I had found 2 wholesalers that had JL even though the selection wasn't as extensive as other brands. I haven't searched for products from every maker but most stuff can be found.
