Whats a good price for a full install

I was planning on installing all my shit by myself when I get to go on leave. But I decided I would rather spend time with the old lady instead installing my stereo.Plus I wnat it ready when I come home. Im gonna have her go and get some quotes from some local stores around the area. Its for Cd Player(Alpine 9857) With the Ipod connector, 2 12 kicker l7's, The subs are outsida box so it would include wiring of the speakers to 1 ohm. Cadence z7000 mono amp. I also allready have ordered a 0 gauge wiring kit so Wiring is set. Just want a ballpark figure so I can tell which shop is tryin to hustle me, and which one has a fair price. Mine was like $400 but they jewed me into buying a bunch of over-priced wiring I didnt really need.

They also tried to tell me my Camaro had a Monsoon stereo in it which is the premium amplified system for camaros. If it had it they would have had to do all the wiring from scratch...but I knew my car had no such thing...it didnt even have the door code.....****ing pricks.

Do it yourself. I'll never pay someone to install my system again. THere's nothing hard about it, all it is is running wires and hooking them up. Key is to make it look clean and just not have wires strung out everywhere. You learn alot and I dont know about you but I really enjoyed doing it...as a matter of fact I hope to get a a job as an installer maybe next summer. If you were to have trouble, you know there are numerous installers on this forum who can guide you through.

Its for a 2000 s10 Ext cab. I would install it myself but I will not ahve the time probably. Im comming home from the middle east and only got like 15 days. Rather spend it with my girlfriend. 400 is pretty insane.

If you already have a box made, then 150 would sound right. If they're making a box, a lot more.

For a very basic install that shouldn't cost you more than $250. The shops around where I live charge around $175 to install a sub and an amp. HU installs shouldn't be more than $30. So it would cost me a total of $205 if I didn't do it myself.

I wouldn't pay more than $200 for that install. I just recently had 2 subs, 2 amps, components, and coaxials installed for $300.
