Did you read the first post? The point isnt the recone it was which sub was higher up on the RE audio line up. I thought MT was the bigest but the XXX is above it on there website..sorry for asking a ****ing question!

They're completely different subs. The new ones are entirely custom tooled, and it cost a lot money to do that, thus the price increase...

You can get them a lot cheaper than 2k though.

Well actuly jackass...I know who designed it...Iv already talked to nick and scott about getting a recone... I yes I also knew Scott was part of RE but I wanted to know if the XXX or MT was higher up on the line. Yes I thought about getting a RE recone but I didnt know the prices were more. So thanks for telling me shit I already knew.

hate what people...the people who get talked down upon because someone else responded with something off topic, and they get a little upset when people treat them like a dumbass....then yes you hate me....with that in mind if you have nothing to say about my question, dont say anything..also I know audioholic answered my question...I dont see what me knowing who design my sub has to do with the RE audio line up. Now can someone tell me how they like the MT???

The XXX and the MT are very different drivers for very different applications. Comparing them basically means you dont understand the role each one is meant to accomplish.
If you want to compete in SPL and (most likely) own the locals, the MT would be the obvious choice of the two. If you want a loud daily driver that sounds very good while beating the snot of out you, chose the XXX. if you mean the 06 or newer XXX, skip it altogether.

XXX is nobody's "cute little sister". XXX makes its own name in many ways.

Speakers do not create energy, they transduce it. Therefore RE does not have a 'most powerful' sub. Again, different drivers meant for different applications. Your generalizations dont help much.

No offense, but do you have any idea what you are talking about? More watts doesnt automatically equal higher output. Aparently speaker/system efficiency means nothing?

06 and up are huge (even by today's standards), don't do well ported, and require a big sealed box to get any decent alignment. id also add it requires alot of power to get any where near its potential out of it, but we are comparing to an MT, so that's not such a huge point. Lastly, for all the wonderful huge sealed box requiring, huge amp and charging system requiring performance, you only have to pay an arm and a leg.

sorry im not into RE audio and asked a question...Ithoughts thats what we were told to do when we have a question in life. Now I know the diffrence...ya know what...I didnt know the diffrence between the model years of the XXX either, does that make me a bad person?
