Fi recone will be your best bet, they are alote cheaper then RE's and they are exactly the same.

lol I paid more to buy an 18" y would I downsize? Also SKa i notice you have an 18 MT...how do you like it...my guy wants one but hes not sure he wants to dish out all the momey for something middle of the road(thats why I told him to buy a used fi)

scott atwell, who currently owns and runs Fi car audio, started RE audio years ago, and got out of it before it got too big.

he designed both the MT and BTL.

now wouldnt it make sense that his newer design which has given him an oppurtunity to improve on the mts design, which effectively the btl has been shown to do.

I yes I also knew Scott was part of RE but I wanted to know if the XXX or MT was higher up on the line. Yes I thought about getting a RE recone but I didnt know the prices were more. The XXX and the MT are very different drivers for very different applications. Comparing them basically means you dont understand the role each one is meant to accomplish.

If you want to compete in SPL and (most likely) own the locals, the MT would be the obvious choice of the two. If you want a loud daily driver that sounds very good while beating the snot of out you, chose the XXX. if you mean the 06 or newer XXX, skip it altogether.

Mt is the beast. XXX is the MT's cute little sister //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The MT is the overall more powerful sub than all of the other RE subs. XXX is meant to have amazing sq and get pretty **** loud doing it.

XXX is nobody's "cute little sister". XXX makes its own name in many ways.
Speakers do not create energy, they transduce it. Therefore RE does not have a 'most powerful' sub. Again, different drivers meant for different applications. Your generalizations dont help much.

In theory more watts make you louder, but after the last competition i went to... Needless to say power means nothing.

No offense, but do you have any idea what you are talking about? More watts doesnt automatically equal higher output. Aparently speaker/system efficiency means nothing?

Did you read the first post? The point isnt the recone it was which sub was higher up on the RE audio line up. I thought MT was the bigest but the XXX is above it on there website..sorry for asking a ****ing question!
