RE audio MX 12 sux. HELP

listen guy. you are putting a large ported box speaker in a small sealed box. and you should have like 1kw on tap at least aside from that. re's speakers are so inefficient its rediclious.
sorry to burst your bubble. id say at least 2 cubes ported to like 30hz with like 60^2in of port area and 1kw. and thats a starting point. i would say call RE up... but we all know how far downhill their customer service went at the end of their popularity.

just my 2 cents.

I can get customer service from RE/US Amps at 2,3,4 in the morning. Whatever time. I have actually woke up Greg at home on several occassions in the middle of the night, weekdays and weeknights to ask questions. They have the best customer service I have ever dealt with.

why get a sub if you don't know anything about it???

the problem with stupid people is spending a lot on great subs just try to impress their friends. dude your better off going to best buy:furious:

u only wire a inverted subwoofer opposite polarity when there is another sub with normal polarity hooked up that is not inverted, so that they move the same way..in this case i only have one so it dont matter
guy this is the most ignorant statement...

you have a sub playing "backwards" when it is inverted, you HAVE to reverse the polarity of that ONE speaker IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE CORRECT... thats the end of it. And since you only have one it still matters.

Correct how? There's a difference between absolute polarity and relative polarity, often times being able to reverse the polarity of a driver helps with integration //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The problem comes when you have two drivers that are out of polarity with each other, playing subbass...but for a singular one, that's dependent on the install as to what polarity is better.

if I'm wrong them I'm wrong! lol... thats the model I've lived by since I started with audio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and when I had two of the four mx's inverted, there was no '***' sound //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

i use to own an MX. I didnt like it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. same reason as you, it sucked *** sealed and made lots of air noises.

That sub looks extremely familiar for some odd reason //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I had one of mine in 2.2 @ 34 hz. It sounded excellent, and got fairly loud for what it was.

Now when i had two of them off 3krms. That was very loud, although the box was big, 5 cubes at 32.

First off I think you were really out of line titling the thread at RE MX sux....Just because the sub doesnt sound good first off doesnt mean it is a bad product.

Like stated by many others you have put it into an enclosure not built for this sub, and the sub obviously doesnt perform well in it.

Try doing some defferent enclosures that the sub feels comfortable in and then post reviews.

Dont just make a thread bashing a very well known and respected company
