hello, i have a pair of re8"s in a seprate sealed .35 enclosures, i have two rockford old style punch g160a2 amps. there are behind the seat of a normal cab 88' chevy s-10.
whats the best wireing for this combo?
175w on the re8" (is this rms?)
using two amps:
if i wire each both coils (of each sub) to both channels (of each amp), ill be getting 80w @ 4 ohm per channel, (is it safe to run each coil to left n right?)
using one amp:
if i wire both coils (of each sub) to one channel, both coils of other sub to other channel, ill be geting 80w @2ohm. (this will allow me to sll other amp)
or...
wire both subs to obtain 4ohm load and wire to bridged at 160 @4ohm,,,,,,,,80w each
the way i wrote that is a bit confusing but thats why iam here asking the pros...i hope u get me....
can i link both amps togather? and get more watts for this set up?
if the only possiblity is 80w to each sub, what can i expect out of these 8's? half power? 3/4 power?....
thank you much for any help,,,,,
here are the specs,,,,
