Rd Audio Alpha

Head over to ecoustics.com. I'm sure there will be someone there who will simply jump at the opportunity to sell you one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

wasn't there just a thread here on a 15" or 18" alpha and orion 2500?

and yeah the review was from someone from ecoustics, but there is also a couple other reviews that were posted on ecoustics saying it was a very nice sub and worth it. think the reviewer that posted here said he replaced his bl with the alpha, same box and power, and the alpha killed the bl in everyway.

I wouldnt go so far as to say the alpha will kill a bl in everyway, but it is a very nice driver. I posted a review on it under the subwoofers section here
yeah, i was just posting what i read. never personally heard one, or any rd sub yet, but plan on buying 4 12" classics possibly soon cause i can get them at a really good price. you wouldn't have happened to have heard those yet have you?

I have a 12" Alpha ordered and on the way. It should be in sometime next week. I will make sure to get a review up and videos/pictures.

And just for reference, Chad's Alpha review was of the old Alpha. The Alpha that one person said was better than the BL in every way, was the new Alpha. I can't say if that is true or not, because to this point I haven't heard either a BL or an Alpha.

I feel like I have been hearing showrides say he is getting an alpha soon for a year!
I feel like it too:crying:

RD is getting 1000 of them in around the 19th I believe. And that is when they will be in stock ready to ship for the general public.

But there was a small run of 12's and 15's that will be available next week, and that is where mine is. But currently it is being built. Should be shipped to me sometime next week though.

But I had to pay for it last week, in order to get one before they were sold out so I have been waiting a week already for it. But not much I can do about that. By mid June though they will be plenty of them in stock.

Theres already an old alpha?
Didnt these subs just come out?
Well they had a much smaller production run of the old alphas because they were just getting started and trying to get some ideas together for a solid SQL driver. They were available for about 6 months, but since they came out they have been working on a newer version that would be the final version. The older version was great for a $250 subwoofer, but really don't have much at all in common with the new alphas coming out around the 19th. The only thing the two will really share is the name. Kind of like comparing an old mag to a new mag.

So is the new alpha the APX or is it actually NEW?
Not to sound like an uninformed condescending *******, but, yeah...
That's a good question. But no the Alphas will not have anything in common with the APX line of subwoofers. They are designed more to be SQL drivers that can handle a lot of power and get a little louder than most SQL drivers. But by now means an all out SPL driver.
