yeah, i was just posting what i read. never personally heard one, or any rd sub yet, but plan on buying 4 12" classics possibly soon cause i can get them at a really good price. you wouldn't have happened to have heard those yet have you?I wouldnt go so far as to say the alpha will kill a bl in everyway, but it is a very nice driver. I posted a review on it under the subwoofers section here
I feel like it too:crying:I feel like I have been hearing showrides say he is getting an alpha soon for a year!
Well they had a much smaller production run of the old alphas because they were just getting started and trying to get some ideas together for a solid SQL driver. They were available for about 6 months, but since they came out they have been working on a newer version that would be the final version. The older version was great for a $250 subwoofer, but really don't have much at all in common with the new alphas coming out around the 19th. The only thing the two will really share is the name. Kind of like comparing an old mag to a new mag.Theres already an old alpha?
Didnt these subs just come out?
That's a good question. But no the Alphas will not have anything in common with the APX line of subwoofers. They are designed more to be SQL drivers that can handle a lot of power and get a little louder than most SQL drivers. But by now means an all out SPL driver. So is the new alpha the APX or is it actually NEW?
Not to sound like an uninformed condescending *******, but, yeah...
