look on ebay right now, they got some monster 401 XLN, if you done your research, it's pretty high up there, those competition series. judysdeal got some cheap monster rcas, much better than the ones out of the VCR box, LOL

neg, alpine and eclipse are the only other ones i would try out tho, i liked clarion til mine stopped playing cd's one day

new alpine=teh ****. but eclipse=teh hot stuff

i was really sceptical about the eclipses, not there SQ, but there functionality, and when i got it i was shocked. i love it. its soooo easy to navigate through, and the SQ is awesome

LOL, no offense, but its cause you got a panasonic. my Pioneers tested at almost 2V which is what they were rated at.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with 2v preouts.

i use monster and only monster for RCA's for the simple fact

they are built well, and they have a LIFETIME warranty.

buy one now, and for the rest of your life, you have a brand new set of RCA cables.

and hey, if it makes a difference in sound, cool, if not, **** it. wont make it any worse

thats what i thought. i didnt think my eclipse would put out anything less than 8.

and i never said theres anything wrong with 2v, i was just saying that if its rated at 5 and puts out 2, thats bad

stinger not bottom but next step up they are red i have 3 sets and love them. used to run the RF for $15 a pair but the ends kept ****ing up so i said screw it and went tinger and am glad i did

Your Eclipse most certainly will put out waaaayyyy less than 8v. It will ONLY do 8v with the volume @ MAX using 0dB material.(test tones, music recorded @ AHB)

With everyday listening levels, unless you do what's mentioned above. I would expect more than likely less than 1v.

interesting...so does it really work? and what did they say about it doubleing the signal strength? cause i got 8V preouts...

yes, they can carry up to 16v of signal, whereas an rca can only do 8 volts max.
