RCA and GROUND question

i have my RCA's running along with my hot wire, i know it's a no no but i didn't know that when i did it... how much of a difference will it make if i run it along the opposite side of the car? is it worth it? i don't really wanna rip everything out and do it unless it is a substancial difference...

also, i have 2 grounds and they both work... BUT is it possible that i'm not getting full performance out of my amp if my ground isn't perfect? i would think that as long as the amp is working i have a good ground but i could be wrong... let me know.. thanks!!!

ABSOLUTELY ZERO

That's a nice old wives tale, though.

is it worth it?
Nope.

Yes

any advice on where to put my ground or the best way to make it perfect? i heard sanding it down would help.. i only have really one spot that'll work well...

sometimes my system is loud sometimes it isn't and i don't adjust any settings... have any idea why it's louder and some times and not in others? could if be a grounding issue?

Sand down to bare metal; make sure any dirt/grease/paint/etc is totally gone. Make sure the bolt is tight. Don't use seat bolts, as they tend to not make very good grounds. That's all I can think of right now.........

Possible? Yes. Could be the connection switching between "good" and "bad"....but, it could also be 100 other things.

agreed, hense why i am at a loss and getting very frustrated... i don't understand why it hits wonderful one day, i get in the next, and the subs are moving good, but the bass just isn't the same... i'm losing bass somewhere for some reason.. i guess i won't ever know why

if the connection is indeed switching from bad to good, how would i go about fixing that? just securing the ground better? also, i have 2 ground running from the same bolt... good/ bad?

Use a DMM...connect one lead to the negative battery post, and use the other lead to probe possible grounding spots. When you hit upon a patch of metal that reads as close to zero ohms as you can get it - that's a good spot.

Another reason why unibody vehicles = teh ****.

*edit - You drive a Blazer, it should be really easy to find a grounding point in that thing! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
