SPL stands for Sound Pressure Level AKA LOUD

If it doesnt, then it doesn't, I'll make sure I dont push it too hard when I go to tune everything. I'll still get two 3000's anyway =p.

If it was real SQ, it'd blend in perfectly with the music and you wouldn't notice the bass, and you wouldn't want the sub to be real loud...So sound quality is out the window.

Not going pure spl competition either...I just want a loud D.D. with some nice speakers that dont sound like crap.

5400 is a linear driver, thier "top of the line" subwoofer, the 5200 is more spl orientated and you probably could get louder with the 5200...but the 5400 should sound good.
