rattle still after damplified ?

i bought second skin damplifiers and did my trunk. it still seems to rattle a lot but some what sounds better. any tips ?

your not always gonna get rid of every rattle and imperfection, just do the best you can

i dont know about that. the lexus i seen at the audio shop had no rattles at all. it was an older lexus, mid 90's. coupe. had 4 10" eclipse subs in the trunk, which was sealed off from the cabin. not one rattle AT ALL. i thought he was ****ing with me and turned off the subs, but he opened the trunk and they were still playing. dont know what they used, forgot to ask.

Try a second layer on some of the bad spots. Did you do the rear deck? I still had rattles after I did my trunk and realized a lot of it was the rear deck.

yeah i did the rear deck and also did the back seat. the rattles coming from the trunk where the license plates are. its not the license plates but just around there.

That was a problem area for me because with the latch to open the trunk I could only fit one layer under there. I put two layers of SS behind my liscense plate on the outside of my car and that helped. I realize that sounds stupid but nobody can see it and I could not fit it on the inside.

On your trunk lid there are some open air pockets. Fill those in with Daptex. Its a sort of expanding foam but not as harsh. It is a lot more forgiving than regular expanding foam. That is more than likely where your rattles are coming from.

if you have a spoiler they often rattle.... but yea to the license plate and frame... Then do the rear deck for sure and a spoiler if you have one also consider taking the lights out and using some back there... i do all those to all my vehicles and i usually dont have much rattle at all....cept for change and other crap in the car...

ummm dont expect a night and day diff... go after things without dampener on it yet.... what type of car is this ? any type of plastic panel could use some as well
