Bring bandaids.  Going hiking in a new pair of shoes almost always goes wrong.

I was waiting on that. I wore then most of the day before the trip to get used to them and make sure I wouldn't have any obvious issues. Plus I always keep and extra pair of boots in my truck. I actually didn't have any problems whatsoever. They were extremely comfortable and broke in rather quickly.
