Atlanta in the 60's. The train full of Ford's you see is coming from "Atlanta Assembly", the old Hapeville Ford Plant that my grandpa work at for years in the late 60's and 70's. He was the head painter. I still have the 68 F100 he bought brand new and the custom 79 F350 dually he built on site. Most don't know that you couldn't but a dually pickup from Ford in the late 70's, so he built one. Opened in 1947 and closed in 2006. Ironically, named the most efficient Ford plant the same year it was closed. The site is now home to Porsche World HQ and test track. It's a great place to visit but you will need an appointment.
