Ran into a Problem building BOx

Ok i got my peices of wood cut from Lowes for the 3.0@35hz from MOe Lesters Plans. Well i get them home and Look at my trunk space and realize the box is going to be 2 tall. So i went back to Lowes and got cuts for the 2.6@32hz. I got the sides onto the bottom so far. I have a couple of questions i would appreciate to be answered.

1-This seem like a good box-Size whise.

2-It says that the silicone needs 7-14days to dry is that true?

3-Where u put ure sub in the box Lowes couldnt cut because there not straight line cuts. So im taking a drill and poking holes all the way around it. Im not done doing so but can u guys think of some better ways to get that cut.

4-How much (estimate) will it cost to go to a Car audio Store buy the wires from there and get my system installed?

P.S after im complety done building box i will post a couple pics

Let the silcone dry at least overnight, you can damage the sub if you dont. I cut the hole with a jigsaw or rotozip.

My box is actually looking preety good. So i aint ****ing up. I dont have a jigsaw.Another ? my drill bit on my drill is real skinny and my screw are probally twice as wide as the drilled holes. Of course the wholes have to be smaller than the screw as if they werent then the screws would just fall in. But are the holes to small. I dont want the wood 2 split so thats why im askin

One more question does it matter where i place sub in box. I was gonna put the port on the left side and the sub all the way on the right. Or is it best to put sub in the middle

If they are smaller that is ok, you shouldnt split the wood if you have a pilot hole.

are you talking about cutting out the circle using the drill, to poke holes all the way around?

use a Jigsaw, or a tool made for cutting that kind of thing

place the sub as far from the port opening as possible
