Thanks. Its Ball Out ($500) - Blak JakNice job on the install! What song is that in the vid?
Yeah, when I deaden the doors, I plan to stuff foam behind them...I hadn't thought about using clay, thanks for the suggestionMight I suggest some clay or foam tape on the top & bottom of that baffle?
It will help clean up the midbass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Honestly no way to tell. It really depends on how much midbass you expect to get out of them.how bad is it without deadening?
Just to make sure we're on the same track...Thanks. Its Ball Out ($500) - Blak Jak

I'll let you know how much of a difference the deadener makes and that will help you judgeugh im in such a bad place...i want rainbow comps so bad...but with the MDF im gonna need and the sound deadening i dunno if its going to be worth it...since my car is a lease...how bad is it without deadening?
yep, closed-cell.Just to make sure we're on the same track...
I assume, by "foam" you mean closed-cell?
That's not the same function as the clay. The clay goes between the speaker and the baffle, in addition to between the baffle and the door. It acts as a decoupler. Think of it as softening the blow of the speaker if you will. It gives more "cushion for the pushin'" lol. In essence it absorbs some of the impact which causes extra vibration in the panel and allows for better midbass output.
great work, I bet that sounds great...what kind of clay did you use to seal the woofers? Did you have it installed with out the clay at one point to compare the improvement in the midbass?nice install, check out mine, I have the same speakers, but did a little extra work....http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=180709
