i have thats for sure. when alpine first came out with the type r i tossed 4 10's in the back of my truck on 4 10 year old old punch amp. this was back when the punch amps were good. they lasted about 6 months until they all be come almost unmovable. keep in mind they were overpowered in an over size box and since i did not know any better i'm sure the signal was clipping real bad as well. but hey it sure was fun while they lasted. other then that i have not cooked any more subs.

on accident.... 3 RE 8's... actually my teammates fault.. didn't get the + lead on one good enough, so when it slipped off during a burp... those 3 stopped receiving signal, and become tap dance fodder on the backplate..

JL 12w3 didnt real blow it but the voice coil went out. wasnt cranking when it blew.
