"Full Range" D class amps?

Well if I had a guess that precision measuring equipment would also state that a record sounds much worse than a present mp3 and that an old tube amp doesn't sound better than a new class d amp. Both to my ears would be inaccurate so there is obviously something that the precision measuring equipment cannot tell me about what is going on in the sound that I find pleasing from that of what is "better sounding" to the machine. It just tells me that the human ear isn't a machine and thus is flawed on what it likes.
Tubes have a totally different waveform when clipped. If you think a tube amp has it's own special sound it's because you're clipping it.

mmmm, this post is what ive been looking for. As i run a boston accoustic GT-42, but i wanted to up it ,, and go with a cadence vegas series amp. - As spes for rms are close, and im thinking better sound ????.. wish i new for sure before buying.. Im running components in front doors - I.Dynamic, [ 100 rms ] - and bridge rear for my 12 inch inclosed sub..

My thoughts towards class D full-range: I'm afraid to switch, i'm afraid to try something new, i'm afraid i won't like it..

My thoughts towards class A/B: I love it, it sounds great, what has worked good for 40+ yrs still works good, i know i like it..

It's still up in the air //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
