It should also work fine if your first amp has a preamp line out. The only way you are going to know for sure is to use the DMM like JCO said.
Now 99fordexp, I have no idea why you are even arguing in here. If you go back and read my first post, I confirmed what you said in your first post. I agreed that the voltage is not affected by a splitter, only the amperage would be halved. Since amperage is not relevant in a preamp output, it would not affect his preamp signal by using a splitter. Just as you said.
