Alternator output

My friend has an 07 GTI and is thinking of running an AQ 2200D to two Fi Q's. My question is, will this amp be happy powered by the stock alt (120 amp). He doesn't really want to run an extra battery unless absolutely necessary.

All suggestions and advice is appreciated.

Oh yea, for 2200rms it's a must. Do the Big 3, big up front battery. Then if your still dimming than get a back one

big 3 first cause its the cheapest but yes as stated, with that amp, youll need more reserve (extra battery)

You're going to need to upgrade a bit to run that without any dimming or anything. But that setup should be loud and sound good depending on the box.

Ya aftr looking at a lot of the answeres I got, he is leaning towards another battery.

And I've heard good things about the Q's, and he's wanting more sq rather than just raw output, but still to be loud. I thing those subs will do him well.

Tune them to like 28 hz in a bigger box. And for a battery I would recommend a batcap.
