Quick Questions on Amps and Car Acceleration

lol very likely, its on my to do list anyway, I jsut wanted to cover all my bases. Need to put air in my front tires too :O

One more question: I had someone install my system for me (I know, dont hate!) but wiring is easy enough now that the system is already in and set up. If I buy a larger amp, can I just replace the current amp with the new one, matching the wiring in and outs as it is now, without having to upgrade anything else or the wiring? I have 12 gauge. Im the sure the answer is yes but since I didnt install it in the first place, im once again, covering all my bases.

I found the "big 3" tutorial on the wiring section of the forums...al the pictures are broken. What exactly does that accomplish and should I upgrade the big 3? Do I need to do it myself?

on a side note, what exactly are "chips" for cars? add horsepower and gas mileage? sounds like pretty big claims for something. lol I just heard of this in passing, no research on the subject yet so please dont hate //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
ill look into the big 3

By getting a better amp (fosgate), will my music player louder as I suspected?
If you are still interested in a chip for your car, i believe there is an Italian company out there that does amazing work. You will have mad gains from it. One guy on here has first hand experience with them.

You do mean the speaker wire, not the power wire is 12 gauge, correct? 12 is fine for speaker.

Do the big 3, it could never hurt, especially if you're considering getting a larger amp.

I need to look at the wiring again this afternoon, but I have 12 gauge going to the sub and some larger wiring (4-8 I think) going to the battery....well its going under the car towards the front so I assume that is where its going. As I said I didnt do the install
