Quick questions about ported design.

I am going to try to keep this short and sweet.

I’m making a box for a hatch back and I’m limited on space.

The box is for (2) 12” Fi SSD’s.

My working design has 5.06 ft^3 of internal volume before any port/speaker displacement.

The port will be located approximately 6” away from the rear wall of the vehicle.

Ideally I would like to have a 4 cubic foot box with ~48 in^3 of port area at ~33-34hz.

My questions are:

1.) How long would a 4x12” port @ 34hz be? Based on various calculators I’m getting anything from ~18 to 22”

2.) Does the port length change if I would change the port's size without changing the area? I.E. switching from 4x12" to 3.5x13.75" (Some calculators show it changing, some don't)

3.) What slot position would yield a higher output? Specifically, would having the port arranged horizontally vs. vertically make a noticeable decrease in output?

4.) As more of an afterthought, I have (2) 4” precision ports sitting around collecting dust – would you suggest using them instead of the slot port, and if so, why?
