My cousin is thinking about getting two Audiobahn Natural Excursion Subs. They state they can handle 400 watts rms. He is going to get two 12's and put them in a sealed box about 1.25 cubic ft seperate chambers. Will wire them to 4-ohms and bridge the amp with about 700 + watts running to them.

He can get them from CarDiscountStereos for $39 each. Anyone think this is a bad move and will they(AudioBahn) be able to take the 750 watts RMS @ 4-ohms Bridged?

Are these subs decent in sound? Can they give a nice thump? This is only temporary until he gets his Brahma.

I would personally tell him to wait and get his Brahma. I would not make that investment if I were in his position. Just me, though.

Is there something about these subs or the CarDiscountStereos that he should know. Oh, he's going to put it in his wife's car when he get his sub and new amp. She likes car audio but she's satisfied with anything.

nothing against cardiscountstereos, it's just that I personally wouldn't put any of my money into that product. The way you just described it, though, it sounds like it would be a good choice for him.
