ok, now i have a quick question froma friend. i've never done a install with the bose system. its in a 2002-ish monte carlo and he's got a new kenwood HU that does have a sub out. what i am wondering with the whole headunit wiring and bose amp, to hook up the sub/amp its the same as without the bose system minus the wiring harness? because for the sub you are not messing with the bose amp at all. correct? someone please chime in here. i need the as soon as possible. thanks!

Correct. Hook the sub into the sub output on the HU.
