Quick Electrical Question

Im trying to install an in line fuse to my hot as a safety mechanism and my amp calls for 10gauge wire from amp to battery. This I have but I can't seem to find an in line fuse that's 30amp (which once again what the amp calls for) on anything bigger than like 12 or 14gauge wire. Can I splice this 12gauge wire in and it not cause any problems?

you don't really want to fuse 12awg at 30A. there are plenty of in-line ATO fuse holders that are 30A. most autoparts stores have them.
