Questions on alternator output on smaller engines?

why what?
why is the alt limited in output? higher amperage requires larger casings for thicker gauge windings.

you bought a car that has physical size limitations to the size casing that will physically fit in the location and still mount properly. a car that was discontinued in 2006 because no one cared about it, even Ford.
'cant fit inside the casing' would also have been an acceptable answer >_>

my car has the same issue - a 2001 V6 Accord has the alt shoved in place, largest i can get is 180A. and it's a PITA to remove. apparently, the same stupid engineers designed my alt mounting location too, bro. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but a 4 cyl Scion tC can have a 320A alt... silly.
