okay say you have a sub and u run 2 amps to each coil how does this exactly work, obviously they would have to be tuned perfectly but what exactly do you need to look out for in this aspect. say its a d2 sub that means each coil would wire down to .25ohm correct?

I have no idea lol thats why im asking for help because Im running my 2 18in dc level 4 xl's on 2 2400brz and I was think when I step up to level 5's i would add 2 more of these amps so when you do this it would be best to do it on a d1 not a d2?

If you had D1s you could wire each sub to a 2 ohm load and then run 2 amps to one sub with out any issues (assuming your using a master/slave setup)

If you had D2s your sub would be a 1 ohm or 4 ohm load. Meaning if you slaved two amps to it they would see .5 ohm or 2 ohm each depending on how you wired it.

yea I get what you guys are saying. It was just a though when the time comes I will just sell the 2 2400's and get 2 3500d audioques's or something along those lines

or if they are d1s you can wire each amp to each coil ,then line match with a dmm to make sure each amp is pushing the same power to each coil.if you do it this way and an amp blows then only one goes instead of both like when you strap them
