Questions about the '05 RE XXX and RE MT

(In reference to the 12" series) Does anyone know the overall mounting diameter of the sub? I was thinking about taking out both of my SE's and using one of these. Ill have about 2.2 cubes to work with but the mounting diameter has to be 12.5" for it to fit in the box. I noticed they use the SE baskets and gaskets on the '05 XXX so im assuming it does have the same diameter. Also what do you guys think about porting the box and putting in a 12" RE MT? I want LOUD and a decent amount of SQ. Ive done the SQ setup now Im looking for more Bump out of a single 12. See sig to see the box. Also if anyone has either for sale can i get a shipped price quoted for 30017. Thanks

i dont think 2.2 cubes is enough for either of those subs

both will work in the 2.2cuft even after port and sub displacement. They will need more power put to them.

you think theyll need more than 2000? i use my stuff alot for long periods of time going back and forth from college so i dont wanna peak them out. but ive heard 2000 will really get them moving?

Go with the mt, it should take the power and they don't sound too bad in the right box.

yea i was thinking the mt would get way louder as well but like you said the right box and im not building this box to its specs so thats what im worried about

just measured one...with the gasket about 12 5/8"
