Questions about subwoofer amp bridging and the Alpine PXA-H800 DSP

Hello CarAudio.com,

I just recently decided to upgrade my auto audio system again with the Alpine PXA-H800 Digital Signal Processor (a work in progress!) and I'm gonna upgrade the power amps I'm using to be the Alpine PDX-V9 I have installed now and the lower powered Alpine PDR-V75 I was originally planning on using as my main power amp. Since both Alpine power amps have inputs for two stereo(?) subwoofer inputs and corresponding stereo subwoofer outputs and I only have one 12" subwoofer driver/speaker, can I bridge these two stereo subwoofer outputs from the two different power amp subwoofer outputs into one higher powered mono subwoofer output to the driver/speaker? I've never bridged power amp outputs before.

Thanks,

No. They are not bridgeable. They are different amps with different outputs. You could run each coil off an amp but not a good idea.

Thanks, yes this is what my installer guy told me via email as well. It was just an idea I had.
