Designing a vented box for my RE sx 12" with winISD and having some trouble. I listen to lots of rock, double bass, stuff with deep bass, and some rap. I'd like to hit some good spl with decent sq. In other words I want it to be really loud and sound good on low tones while keeping it as enclosure size as small as possible.
My internal dimensions assuming 3/4" mdf:
12" High (maximum size)
33.5" Wide (maximum size)
Depth left variable to meet goal of 2.0 cu ft (listed as optimal on RE's site, if you guys think I can go lower in internal volume I will because space is an issue)
What tuning should I use? I tried 32hz and 4"X 12" port dimension in winISD it gave me a port length of 41"! Is this correct? Just seems really long. I chose the square shape vent in winISD, is this the right one for a slot port?
Also, what's the best way to fasten mdf!? Will screws work? Glue or silicone sealant?
My sub comes WED! I gotta build this thing fast! haha
