Hey guys, so i just ordered a 15" Audioque HD3 off a guy on ROE, and its been reconed using the new C Series Softparts, im going to be running it off a Power Acoustik A3000DB @ 1 ohm which is rated at 2300W RMS, but probobly around 1800 - 2000, im just wondering if this is fine for a daily setup, or should i buy a second PA and strap the two on the sub for a power output in the 3K range somewere, or if thats too much for it daily?

Fvck it, get another amp. I had my HD3 on 1600 watts when I first got it. It was loud. Then I got an HK4000D, it got louder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Don't push it too too hard and it'll reward you.

I prefer 4.5^3 @ 35Hz. I tried 38Hz on the last box and just didn't care for it. Lows didn't seem to hit at hard and it didn't have the same impact on kick drums.

I'd say for mostly rap it was fine, but I listen to mostly anything BUT rap....

4.5 cubes @ 40-42 with 3 6" areos.Thats what I found best.I used 2 PAs on 2 HD3s and it slammed!Later went to 1 hd3 on 2 PA gains set to 3500wrms and it took it like a champ.3k is thier sweet spot.2k will get em loud, give em sometime to "loosen" up.

If theyre as alike as the 9515 as everyone says then I'm not sold on them. They get loud, yes. But they don't get low/loud enough for me. tuned @ 40 that is. Never heard the hd3, just going off of what I've heard from the DD

which woofers? because people do sick number at 32-35hz with 9515s... the 9500s are aimed at efficiency not really exaggerated lowend...

Like i said, its from personal experience... 40hz tuning just doesnt tickle my pickle. If I could hear one get loud between 30-35hz then I'm sure I'd think otherwise. 4krms, 40hz tuning and a DD9515 playing Jeezy- hypnotize was a disgrace to the song lol
