T9X 10+ year member Best thang smokin'! 3,354 0 Washington, MI May 2, 2005 #4 Your amp can do 1200w @ 1ohm but you don't have the option of wiring your subs to 1ohm. http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/index.html 2 dual 2ohm subs can be wired to .5ohm or 2ohm.

bonesninja 5,000+ posts CarAudio.com Veteran 15,380 11 Lima, Ohio May 2, 2005 #10 i would install it first --- posibly do the big 3 wiring --and see what that gets you. if your lights aren't dimming then you should be okay. if they do then try upgrading the battery first---last resort is upgrading alternator.

bonesninja 5,000+ posts CarAudio.com Veteran 15,380 11 Lima, Ohio May 2, 2005 #12 speaker wire doesn't matter all that much---i use 12 ga speaker wire from wal-mart.
