i have a chance to buy a RE SE10 sub and Hifonics BX1000d amp for $300 and was wondering if this would be a good deal? both are new in box, guy only took them out to take pictures of them, all i have to do is drive about an hour to pick them up

it'll go in the cab of my truck, a dodge dakota regular cab... behind the passenger seat if possible(which there is not a lot of room behind seats...), if not i might remove the center console and build a box for it.

my current audio set-up is

head unit: sony cdx M800

components: stock infinity tweeters(upgrade package from dodge)

JL audio Front- VR 6500cxi

Rear- VR 5250cxi

so as you can see.... i'm missing the low end of all my music though those speakers can pump out a bit of thump.... it's not as great as if i had a sub also....

i want both sq and spl... but i'm not gonna make myself go def either so i basically want to get the low end of my music so the components can do the mids, and later get some tweeters to replace the infinity's also get a amp to power the components.... so would this be a good deal for the sub and amp? to fit in my truck(center console seems like it's going to have to go... it's a pretty long sub... and nooo space behind seats... not 6 inches atleast)

if anything, would i be able to resell it for a little more?

sounds like a pretty good deal, most RE subs are hard to come by.

my suggestion is to build a pretty big box behind your seat.... just build it wide. and id recomend porting it, the hz is up to you, whether your going for sq or spl.

i'll probably worry more about how the box will be built once i get it... so far i think i will get it because i've been wanting some bass for awhile now.... but whenever i start pricing, it always gets into the $1500 range... lol
