Yeah... Now that I am looking, on my amp the rca input and remote input are on two different sides. So how the hell am I supposed to use RCAs w/ a built in remote when I actaully wire all of this?

Split it apart and run it to the other side of the amp.

Or don't pay any attention to the one on the RCA's and run a different remote wire line.

actually it's not a ground. Everyone has hit the nail on the head. it's a remote turn on. They were just trying to make it easier for people to run their wires. but they didn't put into concept that some amps have the RCA plugs far from the remote turn on.

Nope. It is a ground

i think its meant to be a ground also. some head units (pioneers) have excessive noise, so you need to ground the HU's RCA to the amps ground.

in old school terms that is a ground lol but anymore people do use them for a remote wire and some companies market that way too. alot of old school home stuff and car stuff had screws to hook these up too but you dont see them anymore.
