Question for re mt reconed owners

I have got my sub in the box, and hooked it up to a friends amp to see if the port would make noise. Well it didnt, but some stupid *** had to touch the cone while it was playing, he didnt even touch it hard, but the coil scratched, and I just felt the pain, and it was horrible. Has this happened to anyone else?

this was only when he touched the cone, but it never did it when someone didnt touch it.

i didnt. It was very lightly too. Most subs that you touch while its playing dont even do that, even if you touch it harder than he did. Is this because of this tight gap?

both of my memphis M3's exhibit this condition, but play normally with no scratching.

i am sure that if allowed to continue it will cause damage to voice coil/ former

well if for any reaosn you do end up needing a new recone I got one for a 15"
