I have been reading the posts for the last year and change. during this time i have used a lot of the advice. anyway, i have also used several audiobahn products and have been really pleased with them and the customer service. why does evryone seem to disllike audibahn soooo much? just curious.

ihavent used their amps but have a set of 12 inch subs in a ported box, 6 1/2 components, and 4x6 dash speaker and lovem all.

I have seen this question asked so many times. In my opinion, many people do not them because their looks. They don't like all the chrome. Some, not all, base their opinions on the very cheap, bottom of the line Audiobahn subs that can be purchased on eBay in a prefab bandpass box. These truly do sound terrible, and if these are the only Audiobahns you have heard, you would not like them. I would know, they were my first subs. I then upgraded to an Audiobahn AW1208T and A2150HCT amp. I loved them both, the sub pounded very hard, and they were both very reliable. I still have the amp, and not the sub. I am getting rid of them just to try something different because I have used Audiobahn since I started in car audio.

Audiobahn made their name big by making products that would rattle your balls while still leaving dough in your wallet. sure theyre great as SPL subs if you dont give a rats *** about how its going to sound. And theyre amps are pretty good. But you would never use either if you were going for a system that was apeasing and clean to the ear.

Either way, you get what you pay for, in this case you pay for bling.

And before you call me out to ask if I've use their products.. Yes, I have. Since I'm an installer here in AZ, I come across all kinds of brands.. Some unheard of and alot that I would rather never hear again. *cough* audiobahn *cough*.

I'll save my long-winded speal(sp?) for another time, cause I'm tired......but, long story short:

1) The build quality on greater than 50% of their products is substandard.

2) They put looks before performance

3) I have yet to hear 1 Audiobahn product that had an inkling of sound quality

4) Audiobahn as a business entity has horrible, horrible business ethics. They have literally stolen other companies designs, rebuilt them to a lower quality and then sold them as their own. A company like that will never get my money or my endorsement

5) There is quite simply better products available for the money

Everything you purchase though from HU's to amps to components have to appease what you are going for in your vehicle.

To some the chrome flows and goes well with what you want. It's not like they're Xplods...

The problem I find is that when someone doesn't want a certain thing to work well, because they've already established an opinion towrds it, they don't. It's simple. When it comes to vehicles, I hate fords, with a passion, I won't even capitalize the name (lol). Therefore, I haven't dedicated any excess time to making one my previous fords work. And I probably never will...

there is just so many more companies that are better that its sad that the newbies buy them because they have "chrome". Amps arent bad imo.

I dont like the look of their products, and dont like the sound of their subs (the ones Ive heard). I had their top of the line components, which didn't have close to the sound of my CDTs, plus the VCs started rubbing after less than a year. I've also had their top of the line 6X9s. Again, poor sound quality, and while they had alot of bass, they were still crap and fell apart, literally. I have and am still running one of their nicer amps, and that's only because I can't afford the amps I want at the moment. As soon as I get new amps, that thing is gone.
