Question about vented woofer enclosures

My car has 6x9s on the rear deck like many others. I'm sure that if I put a sealed woofer enclosure in the trunk that the air pressure would totally blow out the 6x9s on the rear deck. I was wondering if a vented enclosure would work since the woofer movement and air movement would possibly offset each other. I would rather not experiment and blow my rear deck speakers. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

i heard a rumor that the air released from a port/vent is just imaginary so you should be fine.

Air coming out of the port isn't an issue. The air compresses so easily it shouldn't effect anything. If you are worried, build a box around the 6x9's, it will probably sound better too.

i had a 84 olds cutlass with that same problem, i just gave up and made 4 pods on the rear sides and some 6 1/2's

baffles for the x9s. is like 15 bux and easy to install.

problem solved. also will give you better sound out of the x9s too.
