Question about this Konaki recone

Hey guys, I finally got my buddy to give me his blown Konaki 12. Its not the huge one, but it the next step down.

I tore it all down and was planning on a recone, but its a really weird setup. I snapped some pics so maybe you guys could give me some advice/options. Sorry if I left them too big, they may take a few seconds to DL if your on a slow internet,

It actually looks like the bottom half is a sub, then they tacked on the top half and a dummy spider to make it look cooler... Yeah that is just like what memphis was doing, dual spider sh*t, but good luck trying to get a recone for that, i would just make it into a 10" FI/RE/konaki sub!!!

haha, well its nice to see that I'm not the only one stumped by this weird setup.

Looks like I'll be making it a 10"... I'll measure the voice coil in the morning, and post it up. Where can I order a FI/RE/whatever else may work recone kit online? Or do I gotta call one of the companies and get it that way?

The inner diameter of the coil is 2". What does that leave me for choices?

The bottom half is a 10" sub. It measures pretty much the exact same as my concept 10's I have laying around.

anybody got an idea for a recone kit on this baby? Re, Fi, etc... Will they have one in a 2" VC? And how will I know about the depth of the basket compared to an re/fi/etc? Is there some way to adjust this on a new recone?

try contacting elevation audio I think they made a sub like that before or something similar

The dual spider just keeps the coil linear in the gap.
