Question About Sub Box Size

Well I'm done version 2 so let me know what you guys think is best overall! Each chamber has a net volume of 1.28 ft^3 so a total net of 2.56 ft^3 minus bracing. Again tuned to 34 Hz. Port dimensions for this is 12.50" H * 1.664" W * 33.37" L for each port. This one has nearly 2 extra inches of port length per sub compared to my single ported design (12.50" H * 3.33" W * 31.53" L) for some reason.

One thing to consider is the fact that the left sub is positioned in front of the port wall and the right in front of the back wall. This will cause the subs to move at different rates, giving the left sub more wear and tear sooner. All the dual sub enclosures I build are center ported for this reason.

Agreed. I lean more toward a labyrinth style port with multiple subs for this reason.

Thanks man! I think I'm going to make a quick change to that one so that there's fewer (or none) 180 degree port turns. Should be less air resistance with 90 degree turns.
I like the new design better than the first. You could also run one chamber and port on just one side of the box but up to you. There is also the option of the 2 chamber but going with a 90 degree turn instead of a couple 180s. Might make an audible difference but might not.

Yeah I'm not sure why I didn't do it this way in the first place lol. Here's V3 (rear firing subs) and V4 (upward firing subs). This is going to go into the back of a minivan so what do y'all think, subs facing the back or facing up? The box will be against the rear seats. Thanks! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
