Yes that is but when you cant afford to do it more than once you want to do the best the first time.

Well, there is a balance point where you don't want to go too far past.

For general normal ported boxes that don't need to be insane, I just go with about 1/3rd SD for port area. Always works out fine.

port area determines port tuning. port tuning = the lower hz it is, the more low end bass you have. the higher the hz = the louder WWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE bass you have

daily drivers on here range from 28-35hz would prob be the biggest bracket. my boxes have always been 37-38hz except for 1. i like 38hz. some people have as high as 55-60hz. usually for competition only that high

its just personal preference. what notes you like. what your used to.

If you plug it into the re audio sight calculation thing there is a diffrence in tuning. So one of the sights is wrong I would think.

How exactly do you tell if its good or not? If you plug the info into both sights how come the tuning is diffrent?
