3/4" plexiglass ?

i have a buddy that works at a local rink. he has access to 4x8' 3/4" plexi with the paper on it so it stays clean till installed. how well does that plexi work on an enclosure or how does it affect it. im runnin 1 15" SI MAG with a BELLE amp. the width is 32" and heigth is 16.5" the front will be plexi with the rear being mirroed with blue neons. im just not sure what affect the plexi will have on the integrity. its seems to be thick enough and rigid. i think it will look and perform nice. just figured id ask. thanks

hell i would assume acrylic is stronger than mdf...my 145 gallon fish tank is 1/2 and does not flex at all tank is 6' high24"long

thats what i was thinkin but wasnt sur if it would compromise the integrity of the box.

it should be fine, just be careful with it though. They might not flex, but just crack

What's the price comparison of plexi to mdf? Not that it matters to you, since you're getting it for free. Are you gonna make the whole box outta plexi or just compliment a side with it?

im gonna do the front with plexi and a mirror or mirror tape to reflect the magnet and basket on the back of the inside with neons
