question about new sub

i just bought a new sub today and it kinda rattles a bit when it thumps hard. is that because its a new sub and i need to break it in or what. has this happened to any of u guys?

Was it NEW, or just new to you? It could be blown, or you could be sending it way too much power... Could be something with the box, could not be sealed properly... Many things to look for.

What amp for that sub...?

ok! just bought the sub like an hour ago, i dont think somethings wrong with the box cuz the other sub is perfectly fine, and its screwed in there tight. definately not sending it too much power. and im running them with an 800 watt logic soundlab plx28 amp.
