Question about batteries

I may be mistaken, but aren't amps pulling current in bursts while you play music, which is a strain like starting your car?

If your alt can't keep up with your amp, the batteries are going to supply the power.

um not exactly.... CCA is a amp "rating" it tells the capable "amps" the battery can produce.

Both CCA and AH ratings are useful, but for different things.

Never thought about that lol, but then again this is my first system that draws as much power as a starter would.

I have always looked at batteries in a vehicle sense and not related to audio.

The highest Ah and RC I've ever seen in a battery and I deal with battery's everyday . Those expensive audio batts look good on paper. But I've never seen one that tells you the RC. I know one battery or actually 2 that can supply over 200 amps at 12.8 volts for almost an hour before they drop to 11.8 and I've tested them over and over again. The other thing is how many time can you kill one of them expensive audio batteries before it's junk no one knows but your regular car batt kill it 10 times and it's time for a new batt. So 200 amps for almost an hour Ah well over 1400 RC of 946 and 35 or 40 lbs. ea. in my opinion Interstate 6 volt golf kart batteries the good ones not the cheaper ones and if you know a Interstate rep you might be able to score them both for under 300 a pair.
