Quesetion on my factory mid/bass drivers

I am doing an install in my 2000 stang with the Mach system as I have mentioned in another post....long story short in order to fit my sub enclosure under the rear deck i had to remove the enclosure/soundboard that houses my rear speakers underneath the rear deck. Its factory on the Mach 460 system. The soundboard acts as an enclosure for the rear mid/bass drivers. My question is if i remove them from the stock enclosure which takes up wy too much space, and install them free air in the rear deck as in most vehicles with rear decks...will it affect the SQ of the drivers??? I understand most lower range speakers sound better in an enclosed app. but technically how much SQ will i lose if any? Thanks in advance

you asked pretty much the exact same question in your other thread...

try it and see. it won't take you a long time. My guess is that it wont really affect much, if anything. Besides, its your rear fill.

rear speakrs don't need to have amazing SQ, a lot of people don't even use them. You'll be fine taking off the peice and running them free air, you might even want to take them out.

pretty much what i thought..thanks for the replies. Im gonna finish tomorrow so ill update how it turns out for all interested //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
